Keeping breastmilk cool

Keep breastmilk at 5°C or lower where possible.

Freeze the supplied ice packs fully before use and position them around your milk pouches for effective cooling. Zip the MEKĖ Chiller Bag closed and minimise opening to help maintain a cool temperature.

Once you reach your destination, transfer your milk straight to the refrigerator or freezer.

Freshly expressed breastmilk can be refrigerated at 5°C or lower for up to 72 hours.

Care & Use

  • Charge your MEKĖ Express fully before first use for optimal performance
  • Add breastmilk, formula or water and select your desired temperature
  • Express heats in approximately 1–3 minutes, depending on volume and starting temperature
  • Rinse Express after use with warm soapy water, ensuring the base does not get wet
  • Use the self-cleaning mode regularly and the self-sanitise function at the end of the day while charging
  • Wash milk pouches thoroughly after each use with warm, soapy water
  • Pouches are suitable for sterilising using boiling or steam systems
  • Allow pouches to dry fully before reuse and ensure the plug is securely sealed before storing or transporting
  • Freeze the supplied Chiller Bag ice packs fully before use and position around your milk pouches
  • Keep the Chiller Bag zipped closed and minimise opening to help maintain a cool temperature
  • Keep breastmilk at 5°C or lower where possible and transfer to a refrigerator or freezer when you reach your destination
  • Wipe the Chiller Bag clean after use and allow it to dry completely before storing
